CGHS Film Festival 2017

All students, whanau and staff are warmly invited to come along to our festival on Thursday 26th October (time and venue to be confirmed). Gold coin entry. If you have been a part of any of the films made for this year's festival (cast or crew), entry is FREE for you. The film finalists are: 'The Sight', 'Out of the Picture', 'Operation Grimm', Looking Glass', 'Liberte', 'The Arpeggio'.

Shifts start from around 8am, and will finish between 6pm and 7.30pm.
$17 to $20 per hour depending on the role.
We are seeking runners, waiters/waitress, bartenders, drivers, sandwich hands and more...
Roles will be allocated based on experience.
Saturday 18th November
Riccarton Event Centre
Shifts start from around 10am, and will finish between 6pm and 7.30pm.

"Rolleston House will be holding a food, toys, and anything else that you see benefiting helpless animals drive! On Thursday 26 and Friday 27 (end of week 2) there will be a box at the red desk and girls at break 1 and 2 on both days to collect your items so that we can donate it to shelter animals that need all the help they can get! Come down and bring anything you can for this is a worthy cause that benefits the SPCA and all the animals that can't help themselves."

The Mavis Atkinson Painting Competition
The Mavis Atkinson Competition for the painting of New Zealand flora and fauna continues this week. This year's subject is the NZ Giant Land Snail. The prize for the winning entry is $150, awarded at Prizegiving, and the runner up will receive $50. See the display in the library and posters around the school for details, or collect an information sheet from your Science teacher. Entries close Tuesday 31st October.
