The CGHS annual Pink Day is coming up on Thursday 31st October. Don't forget to dress up in your most outrageous pink outfit for a gold coin and bring plenty of spare change for stalls and fun events at lunchtime! All money raised goes to the Breast Cancer Foundation.

Industry Scholarships for apprenticeships
Scholarships are available for whole apprenticeships in dairy farming, sheep and beef, and horticulture production Go to https://www.primaryito.ac.nz/news-and-features/scholarships-for-apprentices/ if you are interested.
Applications are now open for enrolment into courses at UC for 2020. Please complete this as soon as possible and before 9 December 2019.
You will need to log into your myUC account and complete your application by selecting the qualification and courses you wish to enrol in.

CGHS Film Festival
All students are warmly invited to the annual Film Festival, which will be held next Thursday in the PAC at 5pm. FREE ENTRY! Come along and see films made by our Year 13 and Year 12 Media Studies students.
Please return all school badminton rackets and shuttlecocks to the P.E office ASAP! Otherwise you will need to pay for a replacement!
Tutors wanted at Numberworks Barrington
Numberworks at Barrington Mall are looking for Year 13 students who are strong in L3 Maths (Stats &/or Calc Merit and above) and intending to stay in Chch 2020 and beyond. If anyone is interested please email Mrs Thatcher and I will forward you the details.

The Mavis Atkinson Painting competition
Entries for the Mavis Atkinson Competition for the painting of New Zealand flora and fauna close on Tuesday 29th October. This year's subject is the Kowhai tree, Sophora microphylla, which is in flower around the city at the moment. The prize for the winning entry is $150, awarded at the end of year Prizegiving, and the runner up will receive $50. See the display in the library and posters around the school for details, or you can collect an information sheet from your Science teacher.
Te Kura Summer School
For students who are leaving school and need to earn additional credits. Standards and subjects offered can be viewed on their website shortly before registration/enrolments which open on 25 November. Digital External Examination
In Week 3 during Ako time, can all students who will be sitting one or more digital exams (i.e. computer use) in their external exam, please go to the PAC to go over instructions and requirements.
Please bring the laptop that you will be using.
Subjects that you may be entered for digital use include: L2 and L3 Art history, History Level 1, 2 and 3, Classical Studies L1, 2 and 3, Level 3 Business Studies and some students in L2 English. If you are unsure, please check with your teacher.
